Diving in Tenn.

Who would have thought you could scuba dive in Tennessee? I sure didn't.

I experienced my first quarry dive last month. Thus far I have been spoiled, having only done ocean diving. While I didn't get to see Reef life, I saw my very first paddlefish at Loch Low-Minn. The were super cool to look at--a cross between a platypus and a shark. It took three dives before I finally saw them, but it was worth it. I especially liked it when they opened up their mouths -- quite big (kind of like mine, or so I have been told).

I ended up doing four dives that weekend:
  1. Depth | 72 feet, Time | 44 minutes, Temp. | 54 degrees Fahrenheit, Partner | Michelle
  2. 59, 41, 56, Michelle
  3. 31, 45, 72, Michelle -- finally saw paddelfish!
  4. 43 min., 59 degrees, Michelle and gang.
The fourth dive ended up being my first night dive -- which I loved! At one point I turned off my flashlight. I enjoyed the stillness of being under water in complete darkness.

All-in-all, it was a great weekend full of firsts.
