An Atlanta native who at a young age developed an affinity for primates--mountain gorillas and orangutans in particular.
I created this blog to share my Rwandan journey with friends and family. Now that the trip of a lifetime has come and gone, I'm changing the blog's focus a bit. Until I make it back to Rwanda (i.e., the land of a thousand hills), I'm going to explore my backyard, and hopefully I'll even be able to take a trip here and there :)
I arrived in D.C. and tomorrow I have a 17+ hour flight before landing in Kigali Sunday morning! For someone who doesn't like to fly, this is going to be quite the adventure--but worth it in the end.
WOW Heather...in just a few hours (or maybe you are already there)you will be in the place you have learned so much about...cheers and ENJOY IT ALL. Looking forward to the post-Rwanda photo showing! Cheers Denise (CARE)
