Can Gorillas Save the Polar Bears?

Okay. The idea may be a bit of a stretch, but it does provide some food for thought (so to speak). Ensuring the survival of a species in one part of the world could in turn help guarantee the survival of others.

What role do gorillas play?

They are tree 'seed dispersal agents'. The resulting trees then play an important role in the ecosystem, which ultimately contributes to the stabilization of the climate.

So, if we save the gorillas, we may very well save the polar bears too. Cool, huh?
